Workshop on Career Guidance organised at Carmel School (CBSE), Mangaluru

Carmel School (CBSE), Mangaluru organized a Workshop on Career Guidance in collaboration with Lions Club, Kadri Hills, Mangaluru for the students of Class 10 on 8th February 2022 in the School Auditorium. The programme began with a prayer dance followed by the Lighting of lamp and welcoming the gathering.

Mr Jagadish Pai (The President of Lions’ Club), Mrs Geeta R Rao (Lions District Joint Secretary), Mrs Vidya Kamath (Treasurer), Mr Ashok Kamath, Professor Ronald Pinto (Resource Person), Professor Rajeshwari Shetty (Resource Person), Sr Sarika, the Principal, were present on the dais.

Mrs Geetha R Rao addressed the students briefing them about the foundation of the Lions Club and she emphasized on the role of the Leo Club for the development of leadership qualities and the service to human society.

Mr Jagadish Pai, in his message called upon the students to develop the leadership qualities and chase their dreams.

Sister Sarika, the Principal, motivated the students to make the best use of the opportunity given and make the right decision for a bright future. She also thanked the members of the Lions Club, Kadri Hills, Mangaluru for organizing the workshop in the school.

The session was continued by Prof. Ronald Pinto and Prof. Rajeshwari Shetty. Prof. Ronald Pinto opened the world of career options for the students. He also stressed upon the attitude and aptitude required to pursue in any field of one’s choice. 

Prof Rajeshwari Shetty helped the students to know the importance of goal setting and various steps to be followed to reach the goals set. She also stressed upon the various factors responsible for demotivation in setting one’s goal. 

The programme was compered by Mrs Liffin Saldanha.The gathering was welcomed by Mrs Deepthi and Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs Kausalya and SPL Anika Patrao.
