October 10th is marked as World Mental Health Day. The main objective of observing World Mental Health day is to raise mental health awareness among people all over the world. The day also encourages people to talk openly about their problems.
This year’s World Mental Health day comes at a time when our daily lives have changed considerably as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The months of lockdown and loss have had a huge impact on our mental health.
Everyone has to deal with varying levels of stress. When you feel like your stress levels have reached their peak, it might be time to take a quick break to reset.
A mental health day can provide a much needed break to pause, refresh and rejuvenate ourselves.
To celebrate World Mental Health Day, Carmel School held the following competitions.
1. Slogan writing
2. Poster Making
To make the students aware of the significance of mental wellbeing, sessions were arranged for both parents and students through webinar by the Mental Health Professionals Dr Rameela Shekhar, Dr Avinash and Dr Caroline P. D’Souza. On the day an assembly was conducted for the students.
Stories with values for Mental Wellbeing were narrated by the staff and sent to the students.
