Carmel School celebrates Gandhi Jayanthi

151st Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation was observed with patriotic zeal and zest by the faculty of Carmel School on 2nd October 2020. The day commenced with an hour of Shramadhan to uphold the dignity of labour, an eternal legacy left behind by The Mahatma. Entire faculty unitedly participated in this venture. A short programme followed the Shramadhan.

The Programme initiated with a Prayer Service invoking God’s Blesings on our nation and its leaders followed by the melodious singing of Patriotic Songs. Mrs Savithri exemplified the significance of the day. Sister Sarika, the Principal in her message gave a clarion call to the faculty to imbibe the values of truth and non violence through their exemplary lives and in turn be a role model to the ones entrusted to their care.

The staff of the Primary Section shouldered the responsibility under the direction of Sister Lavina Shanthi, the Vice Principal . Mrs Mabel D’Souza compeered the programme, Mrs Anusha welcomed the gathering and Mrs Hazel Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks.
