The Annual General Body Meeting for the year 2019-20 was held in our school Auditorium on 24th July 2019 in two sessions. First session was held for the classes VI to X and the second session for classes 1 to V. Both the sessions began with an opening song and prayer dance. Sr. Maria Kripa A.C., the Joint secretary and Sr. Rose Agnes A.C., our coordinator were present for the programme.
The dignitaries were accorded a warm welcome by the school band. A student dressed as Salumarada Thimmakka highlighted the importance of planting trees for a healthy and clean environment. Various eco friendly products were exhibited and the slogans like “Say No To Plastics” were displayed along the way to the auditorium.
Sr.Gracy A.C. the vice principal and Sr.Marlyn A.C. the Coordinator welcomed the guests. The Annual Report for the year 2018-19 was presented before the parents through Power Point Presentation by Mrs Liffin Saldanha, Ms Akshatha Dayakar, MrsVenitha Machado, Ms Sharmila A and Mrs Sonia Rodrigues.
The Resource person, Dr.Caroline P. D’Souza, The Psychiatrist at Falnir Health Centre was introduced by Mrs.Arpitha Roberts and Dr.Keerthi Preethi D’Souza, Assistant Professor, Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce, Mangalore University, was introduced by Ms.Preethi Gangamma.
Dr. Caroline D’souza, the speaker enlightened the parents with the essential aspects of “Good parenting”. She stressed on parents being a role model to their children.
During the afternoon session the Resource person Dr. Keerthi Preethi D’souza, exemplified the topic Healthy Parent-Child Relationship” she emphaised on parents to understand, listen and mould the character by being themselves as the role models.
Both the talks were appreciated by the parents. The speakers responded to the queries of the parents. Sr.Sarika, our Principal in her address thanked the parents for their generosity and support. She explained the new pattern of evaluation. She urged the parents to send their ward on time and avail opportunities provided by the school for the all-round development of the students. The audience prayed for the departed souls of the four parents.
The programme was compered by Mrs.Cynthia Pais and Mrs.Deepthi K.G. Mrs Lolita D’souza and Ms. Anusha proposed the vote of thanks.
