The Indian Constitution is one of the longest and the world’s second largest active constitution.
The Institutions of St. Ann’s Campus joined the nation in celebrating the 74th Republic Day with a ton of pride and enthusiasm. Mr Vivek Vijay Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Marine Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology was the chief guest. The Chief Guest accompanied by Sister Sudeepa A.C, the Educational Secretary, Karnataka Province, Sister Sarika, the Principal and Sister Violette, the Administrator unfurled the Tricolour Flag followed by the National Anthem. Mr. Vivek Kumar in his invigorating message gave a wide coverage to “Do Good, live in the most Positive and joyful way”.
Carmel School Choir entreated the blessings of God the Almighty through an Invocation. Patriotic Song imbued in the audience an immense degree of patriotism. Mrs. Liffin Saldanha welcomed the gathering, students Zoya, Slany, Shifana, Shanvi and Siha compered the programme. Manvi briefed the significance of the day. Falak proposed the vote of thanks. Under the guidance of Sr. Sarika, the Principal Carmel School had the privilege to host the Republic Day in a grand manner.
The great patriotic fervor and zeal continued in Carmel School Auditorium. It commenced with a Prayer Service invoking God’s blessings on the country, very specially that the Great Nation may continue to uphold the values enshrined in The Constitution. Significant Skits highlighting the Fundamental Rights and the valour of our soldiers were enacted.
The chief guest Mrs Cynthia Renjal in her message elucidate the ways and means by which children could contribute to National Development. Sister Sarika, The Principal expressed her deep sentiments of gratitude to the faculty and students for the love manifested to the Nation through their presence in large number. Students Afsheen and Anusha compered the programme. Yanvi welcomed the gathering and Tvisha proposed the vote of thanks. As a mark of celebration sweets were distributed.
