The Grade 9 students, under the able guidance of their class mentors, organized a colourful cultural programme to bid farewell to the outgoing batch. The event began with a thanksgiving mass which was celebrated by Fr Arul Gnana Prakash SCJ. After the holy mass, Father addressed the outgoing students of class 10 and emphasized on the unity and togetherness. He guided the students on different phases of life and it was their time to venture into the new world.
The students of class 10 were welcomed with flowers, to the venue, followed by a solemn prayer service symbolizing their journey. Lighting candles symbolizing the light of knowledge, the students conveyed the message of spreading peace, joy and love around the world. Cheerful and energetic dancers welcomed the gathering with their performance.
Khyathi, Shanvitha and Angel reminisced about past memories and expressed gratitude to the Principal, teachers and the entire Carmel family for their strong support and guidance. Miss Shilpa, on behalf of the entire faculty, delivered a heartfelt farewell message.
The skit entitled "The Journey Beyond" illustrated the values of resilience, gratitude, friendship, teamwork, and embracing change, showcasing the lessons the students learnt during their school life.
The students then entertained the audience with melodious songs and enthralling dances. Sr Lilly Pushpa, the Principal, addressed the students, wishing them all the very best in their future endeavors. In her address, she focused on self-awareness, self-discipline and clarity, the three pearls of life to be carried as an asset and cherish them throughout their lives. The entire faculty, along with Sr Lilly Pushpa AC , the Principal, Dr Sr Prem Dsouza, the Administrator and Sr Premal AC, the Vice Principal blessed the students with loads of love, blessings, and good wishes for their future efforts.
Mementos were distributed to the students as tokens of remembrance. Fathima Mehek welcomed the gathering, and Jenisha Sequeira, the outgoing student and the School Pupil Leader proposed the words of gratitude.
The programme was smoothly compered by Fathima Hasna, Nainita, Tvisha, Hansika, Sania, and Ashna as the masters of ceremony ensuring a memorable and heartfelt farewell for the outgoing batch of students.
The celebration was brought to close with a scrumptious and hearty meal.
