Tri Colour Day Celebration

“Mera Bharath Mahaan" – feeling proud and patriotic towards our Country, India, UKG children of Carmel School celebrated Tri Colour Day on Monday, 14th August 2023.

To conclude the Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav, Tri colour week – Competitions and activities were organized. Patriotic Singing Competition was held on Friday, 11th August. Around 45 students participated in the same and it was wonderful to see the tiny tots who were trained by their parents sing patriotic songs in English, Hindi and Kannada. The singing competition was judged by Teachers Margaret Monteiro and Dimple Dsouza.

On Saturday, 12th August, a Patriotic Dance competition was held and around 30 children participated. The parents witnessed the performance of their wards with full enthusiasm. Children exhibited their dance moves for the patriotic songs with their tri-colour attire and waving the national flag. The Patriotic Dance Competition was judged by Teachers Sandhya and Mable Dsouza.

The Finale of the Tri colour week was celebrated on Monday, 14th August, with the Tri colour day. The children of UKG A section dressed up in colour green, while section B was dressed up in white and section C was all dressed up in colour Saffron. The corridors were decorated with the tri-colour buntings and balloons which gave a patriotic festive look on the Ground floor of the Kindergarten Section. Elocution Competition was held and around 20 children participated. They dressed up as great leaders and freedom fighters and delivered their speeches. Teachers Jahnavi Sanal and Margaret Monteiro were invited as Judges. Children made crafts with three different colours of our national flag and hung them with ribbons and decorated their classrooms. The parents actively participated by making a tri-colour craft and sending it with their wards to school. The weeklong activities and celebrations depicted a feeling of pride and patriotism in everyone's heart. At the end of the day, laddus were distributed to the children by our dear Principal.
