Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm and a sense of patriotism towards the state. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Administrator, Vice- Principal, and the school pupil leader followed by the Prayer service. The gathering was welcomed by Prishan and Dhanvi Gopal. Ankith and Gowravi highlighted the significance of the day. The skit was enacted on the theme ‘Karunada Sahithya- Nadedhu Banda Haadi’. A beautiful dance was presented depicting the richness of Kannada language.
Sister Sarika the Principal in her message appreciated the students and the teachers for their best performance. She gave an example of Puneeth Rajkumar’s life and told the students, we only win the hearts of people by our good deeds. She also gave a quote of Basavanna which stated that being humane is more important than being human. She also said that we need to be proud of being Kannadigas and speak Kannada language with pride as it is our state language, further explained the richness of Kannada culture by giving the example of Mysore Palace and few persons who worked for Kannada language. She also said that children of Karnataka need to play a vital role to flourish this language. She ended the message by saying that we need to have freedom in mind, strength in word and pureness in blood and show loyalty towards the state.
The students of class 6th, 7th and 8th compered the programme. The teachers in charge of the programme were Mrs Deepthi, Mr Shilas, Mrs Mable, Mrs Reena, Mrs Asha, Ms Evita and Mrs Suhani . Sheethal and Anushvi proposed the Vote of Thanks. The programme ended by singing the state song.
