Sesquicentennial Celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi

To mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi various competitions were held in Carmel School such as Fancy Dress, Essay Writing, Slogan Writing, Poetry Writing, Elocution, Pencil Sketching and drawing of the portrait of Mahathma Gandhi. The winners were awarded with certificates.Exhibition of Books on Mahatma Gandhi was held. The students of class IX and X actively participated in the cleanliness drive in and around the school campus.

On October 2, 2019, the students of class 2A and 5A in the School Auditorium held a Programme. The programme began with the Lighting of Lamp followed by a Prayer Service. Various inspiring experiences of MahatmaGandhi were depicted on the stage. Teacher Deepthi gave the message to the students about the values and principles taught by MahatmaGandhi.

Naineeta Vasudara, Ciona Sanjeev, Shazia and Ifra compered the programme. Shreyash welcomed the gathering and Yash proposed the Vote of Thanks. The Principal Sister Sarika, Administrator Sister Rose Agnes paid a floral tribute to Mahathma Gandhi.
