The day began at 8.30 a.m. on Sept 5, 2019. The teachers were welcomed by the cabinet. A special game was conducted for teachers and the winners were crowned as Carmel King and Carmel Queen for the day and were asked to preside over the cultural programme. Mr. Karunakar was crowned as Carmel King and Mrs. Savithri as Carmel Queen.
Teachers' day was celebrated with great joy and glory. The students of class VII B presented a meaningful programme. It began with the lighting of the lamp in honour of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. It was followed by the prayer service, welcome dance, a skit on respect for teachers. The students danced gracefully to the tunes of the songs of the 90's. A beautiful song on thanking teachers was sung melodiously.
Sister Gracy, the Vice Principal in her message appreciated the teacher and the students of class VII B and also highlighted the vital role played by a teacher in the life of a student. The programme was compered by Helna George, Princita and Janice Jimmy. Disha D. Rao proposed the vote of thanks.
Followed by the cultural programme, were spot games and the group games conducted by the School Cabinet. In the end, the Principal extended her gratitude to all the students. She also appreciated the School Cabinet for their wonderful coordination in organising Teachers’ Day. A lunch was organized by the school management and the teachers were given gifts as a token of love, respect and gratitude.
Sister Rose Agnes A.C. , the administrator of our school, addressed and thanked the teachers for their dedicated services. A short prayer service was conducted by Sister Gracy A.C. and Sister Marlyn A.C.
