Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration

 This year our country celebrated 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Man who inspired the Nation to fight against colonial rule. Born on October 2nd, 1869, The Father of the Nation is known for his struggles, non-violence, equality and Freedom. On this great occasion Carmel School celebrated 150th year of Gandhi Jayanthi with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The Students of class IInd A, B and C explicated the significance of the day in the form of a devotional prayer service with scripture readings of different faiths. The programme began with garlanding the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and the Lighting of lamp by our Principal and the Vice- Principal.

The audience were welcomed through a Punjabi dance followed by a valued based skit, A PowerPoint Presentation on life of Gandhi, dance on National Integration and a Patriotic song.

Sr. Sarika the Principal in her message highlighted the importance of the teachings of Gandhi and urged the students to follow the footsteps of Bapu.
