The 72nd Independence Day, was celebrated in our campus with great enthusiasm and admiration. On 15th August at 9.15 a.m. the dignitaries were escorted to the ground by the rhythmic tune of St. Ann’s Pre-university college band followed by the prayer and the significance of the day, the dignitaries were escorted to the flag post. Sr. Carmel Rita A.C. the Provincial Superior of the Apostolic Carmel congregation unfurled the tricolour flag. Sr. Ida Barboza A.C. the Educational Secretary and Sr. Maria Kripa A.C. the joint Secretary of our school were also present on the dais.
At Carmel school, the students of class VIIIB and VIIIC presented a beautiful cultural programme. The programme began with a prayer service. The sovereignty and integrity of our nation was commemorated with a meaningful skit and a dance by the students.
Sr. Lenita, the Vice Principal gave a meaningful message. At the end, the staff and the students in unison sang the National Anthem to pay homage to our country.
