Origin:
In 1964 our school was recognised by the Education Department, Karnataka and got official approval for classes One to Five and 12 years later the recognition was made permanent.
In 1970 A Parent Teacher Association was started with the aim of maintaining close relationships, mutual co-operation and understanding between the home and the school and the parents and the teachers.
In 1976 A Spacious Hall was built for the sake of the children's activities which proved to be a boon to the children.
The year 1989, The commemoration of the Silver jubilee saw an old school building bursting at the seams with a crowd of 980 vivacious children fitted into it.
It was replaced by a new double storeyed building, airy, bright and capacious.
This was all possible due to the grace of the Almighty and generous and philanthropic parents and benefactors who assisted the Management in this noble endeavour.
Yes, Carmel School which began as a small institution serving few hundred students today has grown into a complex educational enterprise on this extensive campus.
Carmel school is currently affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. New Delhi with classes ranging from Nursery to class X.

Sister Hyacintha A.C. whose original contribution to the Primary and the Nursery School recognized on the international level then, was the first Headmistress
Sister Hyacintha was transferred in 1967 and her place was taken by Sister Verona A.C for two years i.e. from 1967 to 1969 during which school was progressing in maintaining high standards in education according to the expectation of the society and that of parents.
Sr. Hyacintha 's place was taken by Sr, Eusebia who along with her steadfast staff worked with self sacrificing fidelity for the development of the school.
Sr. Cabrini A person who carried herself with dignity, slender and stately. Shewas the incarnation of discipline and loyalty - a strict disciplinarian who expected the same from her staff and students. But within the tough exterior, she had a kind and loving heart.
Sr.Marie Alice : The H.M who took over the chair from Sr. Cabrini and engulfed the staff and students with her unfailing love and the brightest of smiles .She was a great administrator, disciplined and very approachable.
A person who gave the utmost importance to the spiritual aspect of ones life.
Sr. Roshan a beautiful picture of forbearance, tolerance, empathy and the owner of a heart with munificent love for her fellowmen succeeded Sr.Marie Alice in the year 1998 for a period of three years.
Sr.Veronita an unassuming person, gentle by nature took over the strings of administration of Carmel School after her predecessor. Blessed with a sharp intelligence, ebullient spirit, a mellow voice,who minced no words, hit you straight but left no scars.
Sr. Roshan (2007-2013)once again shouldered the responsibility of this institution to bring about a renovation in the field of education to suit the signs of time.
Under the direction of the Management Dr. Sr. Lydia the then Joint Secretary and Local Manager of St. Ann's Campus Institutions took the initiative and with the collaboration of Sr.Roshan forwarded the proposal of procuring NOC from the State Government to change over to CBSE.
At this juncture the Management found an apt person in Sr. Sarika who was then the Principal of St. Ann's Composite P.U.College to transform the dream to reality. Her relentless efforts and endeavor became successful in July 2015, when the school obtained Affiliation up to secondary level, from the Central Board of Secondary Education. New Delhi.
