Carmel School, Mangaluru, hosted a grand inauguration of its annual exhibition in the school auditorium on August 21, 2024. The event commenced with a reverent prayer service, invoking divine blessings for the success of the program. The prayer emphasized Carmel School’s unwavering commitment to nurturing creativity, knowledge, communication skills, social skills, and emotional intelligence among its students.

Following the prayer, the gathering was warmly welcomed by a vibrant dance performance by the students, setting a lively tone for the day. Professor Narendra Nayak, President of the Federation of Indian Rationalist Associations (FIRA), graced the occasion as the chief guest. He inaugurated the exhibition by switching on the "Aryabhatta" model, which began rotating, symbolizing the profound impact of scientific advancements on various academic disciplines. This powerful visual metaphor highlighted the integration of tradition and modernity, underscoring the school’s dedication to holistic education.

In his inspiring address, Professor Nayak emphasised the importance of critical thinking and scientific temper in daily life. He urged students to harness these qualities to transform the world into a better place, encouraging them to be agents of change in society.

The event was further dignified by the presence of the school’s Principal, Sr. Lilly Pushpa, the Administrator, Sr. Dr. Prem D’Souza, PTA Vice President Mr. Ashok Kumar, and KG PTA member Mrs. Nitash. Their support and guidance were instrumental in the success of the event.

After the formal inauguration, the guests and dignitaries proceeded to the classrooms, where the students proudly showcased their meticulously prepared models. These models spanned a wide range of subjects, including Science, Social Science, Languages, Mathematics, and Heritage. Each exhibit reflected the students' dedication and creativity, as they brought to life complex concepts through both working and static models.

The exhibition received widespread acclaim, particularly from parents who marveled at the ingenuity and hard work of the children. The models not only demonstrated academic knowledge but also highlighted the students' ability to think critically and solve problems creatively.
